If that doesn't work, disable secure boot and then do a search on how to use UEFItool, universal IFR extractor, to find the 'Bios Lock' variable command, and then disable it by booting to an EFI prompt. I also have issues with a lag on my keyboard i like to fix and i have read its been fixed with premabios if anybody else know a workaround that be great. Current bios is 1.05 if anybody has an updated version i welcome that as well.I appreciate any help. Im looking to see if anybody has been successful of unlocking the bios in this fashion? I really need a UEFI unlocked bios for win 7, setup my memory to its 3000mhz potential and undervolt my cpu from the bios.Ĭurrently my style note doesnt even have csm compatibility option. Ive tried everything from an old afu or even dos afu or afu on windows. I have tried to unlock my bios using these 2 apps unfortunately when i go to flash i get an error unable to start a secure flash. (same basic instructions work on the older 'VR' series, but a different version of FPTW64 may be rquired). Or does anyone know another way to change hidden options in the NVRAM area of the flash? I have no problems unsoldering the flash IC and flashing it with an external. The last time I had problems like this, my version of AMIBCP was too old and using a newer version fixed it.
